Girls' Day 2025 at the Institute for Information Systems

On April 3, 2025, 12 schoolgirls took part in Girls' Day at the Institute for Information Systems and embarked on a journey through the world of information systems. Mitarbeitende aus verschiedenen Bereichen des Instituts hatten für die Schülerinnen ein spannendes Programm zusammengestellt. Girls' Day – Girls' Future Day is a nationwide campaign in which girls from the 5th grade onwards can learn about professions and fields of study in which women have been underrepresented to date – especially in technology, IT, skilled trades, and natural sciences. The aim is to break down gender-related career choice stereotypes and open up new perspectives for the future.

Business Contacts 2025 – A successful day for your career

On June 13, 2025, the Oeconomicum building at the University of Münster was once again transformed into a central meeting place for students and over 50 renowned companies. This year's Business Contacts career fair was once again all about personal conversations and establishing valuable professional contacts. On the day of the event, a varied supporting program impressed: the popular Career Lunch provided a relaxed atmosphere for conversations with cool drinks and snacks. Despite the high summer temperatures, many interested students found their way to the trade fair tent – and were surprised there not only with exciting insights, but also with numerous gifts, goodies, and even free ice cream from the companies.

School of Business and Economics welcomes new students

‘Welcome to the School of Business and Economics’ is the message for numerous new students this semester. Prof. Dr. Thomas Langer, Dean of the School, welcomed the first-year students during orientation week (O-Woche), which was organised by the WiWi student council and is considered the largest in North Rhine-Westphalia. With 530 new enrolments, the Bachelor's programme in Business Administration has the most enrolments university-wide. The new international students were welcomed by Sina Heidtke from the International Relations Center.

"Herzlich willkommen an der Wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät" heißt es auch in diesem Semester für zahlreiche neue Studierende. Prof. Dr. Thomas Langer, Dekan der Wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät, begrüßte die Erstsemester im Rahmen der Orientierungswoche (O-Woche), die von der Fachschaft WiWi organisiert wurde und als größte in NRW gilt. Mit 530 Neuimmatrikulierten verzeichnet der Bachelorstudiengang Betriebswirtschaftslehre die meisten Einschreibungen uniweit.
